#13: Can’t decide what to do with Scalp Buildup and Dandruff?

Scalp buildup often suffocates the hair follicles, obstructing the flow of needed nutrients and blood circulation to your hair bulbs— leading to hair loss and scarring.   

Excessive scalp buildup blocks the pores on your scalp, which in turn leads to dandruff — creating an environment for the growth of different infections and inflammations on your scalp.   

Buildup and dandruff often result in inflammation, red bumps on the scalp skin and irritation — making you feel the ultimate discomfort.  

Buildup or dandruff obstructs the flow of nutrients of treatment oils, shampoos and conditioners, which thereby affects scalp and hair health.  

Choose a gentle anti-residue shampoo, rich in natural ingredients like ichthyol pale, salicylic acid, lavender and neem to clear off any buildup and dandruff.    

Once a week, exfoliation is a must-consideration that you must make to avoid accumulation of product residues, dead skin cells, sweat or dirt on your scalp, thereby preventing dandruff.  

Do not fall for products that are infused with sulphates, parabens or different alcohols, as they might potentially strip your scalp of its natural oils while aggravating irritations and residue buildup.  

Consider frequent washes to make your scalp free from the accumulation of excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells, preventing buildup and dandruff.
